Worldwide Fokker Services has 600 employees working at locations in the Netherlands, Singapore and the USA. We are looking for expansion within our Engineering department in the Systems group, specifically for an experienced Electrical Systems and Avionics Design Engineer. In this role you have the opportunity to be responsible for Design, Development, Integration/Introduction and monitoring of electrical systems and avionics. You are part of a large team of engineers divided over three departments and you report to the Team leader ELAV & POSY (Electrical Systems & Avionics and Power plant and Systems). Your direct stakeholders are Marketing & Sales, Project Leaders, the DOE organization and the hierarchical organization, indirect stakeholders are Vendors and Customers.
You are responsible for:
- Development of modifications to the aircraft design in accordance with customer and airworthiness requirements
- Monitoring of new technologies, selection of potential applications and translation into concept designs
- Definition of system and project requirements and support to product management
- Responsible for system integration
- Creation of research-, test- and system specification reports
- Support of system and aircraft tests
- Preparation / Checking / Approval of Certification reports
Your skills and competences are:
To succeed in this role you should bring the following skills and experience:
- A Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering on electrical systems or avionics or equivalent
- A strong affinity with aircraft design and operations and other aircraft systems
- At least 5 years relevant working experience
- Knowledge of system design and safety Assessments, familiar with Do178/160/254 design processes, qualification norms, EASA/ FAA CS25/FAR25 and aeronautical standards
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Good communication skills, verbal and in writing, in English, Dutch is pre
- Enthusiastic team player
If you have knowledge on Control Laws, Mat-lab/Simulink, Human Factors and EMC that would be a great asset.
